Clamp
Remove any burrs and uneven areas on the workpiece contact surface to ensure that the workpiece

rests against the plate as evenly as possible.
Wipe the pole plate of the magnet and the contact surface of the workpiece clean.
■
Position the workpiece.
■
Switch on the magnet with the control lever (Allen key) in the + direction.
■
Ensure that the full control angle has been actuated.

Check for sufficient holding force, e.g. carefully try to release the workpiece from the magnet by hand.

Close the shielding.
■
Machine the workpiece.
■
6.2
Releasing
When using the magnet vertically, secure the workpiece against falling.
■
Switch off the magnet with the control lever (Allen key) in the - direction.
■
Ensure that the full control angle has been actuated.

Remove the workpiece.

If the workpiece still adheres due to residual remanence (for tool steel), use light taps to release it
■
from the magnet.
6 OPERATION
NOTE!
For magnetic chucks with two control levers, two areas of the magnetic
chuck can be switched independently, e.g. for several workpieces or
workpieces with different sizes.
