2.3.2 Solar charge controller

Charge current up to 60A and PV open circuit voltage up to 100 / 150V
The built-in solar charge controller automatically starts up when qualified PV voltage is presented
from solar photovoltaic. The maximum charge current of Energier Apollo is 60A and the maximum
open circuit voltage is up to 100 / 150V.
Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially in case of a clouded sky, when light intensity is changing continuously, an ultra-fast MPPT
controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by
up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Outstanding conversion efficiency
The dynamic MPPT efficiency of solar charger is up to 99% and conversion efficiency is up to 98%.
Prevent leakage current from battery to photovoltaic
The solar charger controller will limit leakage current flowing from the battery to the photovoltaic
generator in order to prevent battery discharging at night.
Reverse polarity
The solar charger controller will be protected from reverse polarity connection of the photovoltaic
by hardware.

2.4 System level functions

AC input current limited – dealing with limited generator or grid power
This function is designed for system with limited input (either grid or generator). It can automatically
allocate the power available with AC source (either grid or generator) using whatever extra for
charging, thus avoiding grid input circuit break or generator to be overloaded.
Power Save mode (PS mode) settable
When there is no load, power consumption will be reduced by approx. 70%. Energier Apollo will
switch off in case of load is less than preset level and will resume after the power reach the preset
level. The entry level of power save mode can be programmed through LCD display and software
supplied Rapconfig.
