We recommend that you read this section together with the overall block diagram.
1-11-1.
COMe Module
The micro controller that totally controls boards used in the unit is mounted on the CPU board (hereinafter referred to
as COMe module). The COMe module controls devices.
The Windows Embedded 8 Standard used in the COMe module is installed in the SSD (HPR-56 board) connected
through the SATA interface.
The COMe module has the following interfaces.
• PCI Express
This interface is connected to SxS memory card (IF-1277 board),XAVC decoder IC (IC1001/HPR-56 board) and
FPGA1 (IC4001/HPR-56 board).
• USB 3.0
This is connected to USB 3.0 HUB IC (IC603/IF-1277 board) .
• USB 2.0
This is connected to USB 3.0 HUB IC (IC603/IF-1277 board) and USB 2.0 HUB IC (IC202/DY-27 board).
• Gigabit Ethernet
This is connected to ethernet connector (J6201/HPR-56 board) .
• Embedded Display Port (eDP)
This is connected to the eDP to LVDS conversion IC (IC4003/HPR-56 board) .
• VGA
This is connected to the VGA buffer IC (IC605/HPR-56 board) .
Furthermore, the COMe module is connected to the following ICs through the I²C interface to control them.
• Fan controller (IC5604/HPR-56 board)
• EEPROM (IC5607/HPR-56 board)
• Clock generator (IC2602/HPR-56 board)
• RTC (IC5603/HPR-56 board)
• Temperature sensor (IC5602/HPR-56 board)
• Current/voltage monitoring IC(IC112/IF-1277 board)
• CPLD (IC001/IF-1277 board)
1-11-2.
HPR-56 Board
Processing of the HPR-56 board is performed in the following blocks.
• Power control block
• FPGA Config block
• Video/audio signal processing block
• System control block
1. Power control block
Voltages necessary in the HPR-56 board are generated by DC-DC converters (IC0001, IC0003 to IC0009, IC010,
IC201, IC202, IC205, IC206, IC208 to IC210, IC0404, IC0406, and IC0407). The CPLD1 (IC3001) controls ON/
OFF of these converters.
