4. Remove the two screws (B 3x35) and remove the fan
nut and the fan cover from the fan motor.

5. Attach the new fan motor by reversing the disassembly
steps 4 to 2.
6. Turn on the main power and check the following:
. The fan motor rotates.
. The indicator on the front panel lights in green.

1-4-3. Lithium Battery

The backup lithium battery is installed on IC5100 (E-3) on
the IF-694 board.
The lithium battery backs up the memory that stores the
following data:
. Date and time
. Error logs
These data will be deleted when the backup lithium battery
is removed.
After replacing the battery, re-set the date and time.

Replacement Procedure
1. Turn off the main power and remove the AC plug from
the outlet.
2. Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
3. Insert a flat screwdriver tip between the IC on the
IF-694 board and the battery and remove the battery.

4. While aligning the new battery with the pin-1 mark of
the IC, attach the new battery.
5. Re-set the date and time. (Refer to Section 1-6.)
6. Attach the top panel.
