1-4-4. Replacement of Lithium Battery

The CPU-353 mounted a lithium battery for backing up
SRAM. When replacing the battery, use the following
parts:
Replacement part: Lithium Battery (CR2032 type)/
CPU-353 board (Ref. No. BT201)
Part number: 1-528-174-11
When voltage of a battery is getting low, a warning is
displayed on the front panel's LCD during operation.
(Refer to "Error Messages" in the Miscellaneous section of
the Operation Manual.)
It is possible to back up data when the warning is dis-
played, but change the battery as soon as possible in this
case.

If voltage of a battery is too low to backup, the previous
state cannot be restored after the power-on.
Change the battery to the specified new battery as follows:
(1) Start the unit normally. From the SETUP menu,
perform the SYSTEM BACKUP to store the current
status into Flash Memory. (Refer to "Storing the
current operation settings in non-volatile memory as
backup data" in the Menu Operation section of the
Operation Manual.)
(2) Power off the unit. Remove the battery from the
battery holder on the CPU-353 board and place a new
battery.
(3) Start the unit normally. From the SETUP menu,
perform the SYSTEM RESTORE to restore the
previous state. ("Storing the current operation settings
in non-volatile memory as backup data" in the Menu
Operation section of the Operation Manual.)

If the above step (1) is not performed, the operational state
will be lost when the battery is removed.

1-4-5. Replacement of Fuse

The fuse is mounted on the PS-640 board.
If a trouble occurs on the unit by flowing the over-current,
the fuse will blow.
The fuse should be replaced with following parts after
removing foreign matter.
