Port Class B
The pin assignment of the IO-Link interface of the sockets X14 to X 17 corresponds to the IO-
Link specification as per Port Class B. Port Class B is specially suited for the connection of
actuators with additional supply (e.g. valve terminals). To connect devices with Port Class A
(e.g. sensors) to the communication module CM 4xIO-Link 4xM12, a 3-wire connection cable
should be used (Port Class A compatibility).
