4. Setting the SCSI address
To set the tape drive's SCSI address, see the figure below. The default address is set to 0 for Series 800
systems and 3 for Series 700 systems.
For V Class servers, the SCSI ID default is set to 1.
Note
Your tape drive firmware may be corrupted by assigning to a tape mechanism a
SCSI ID previously assigned to another device.
The SCSI address jumpers are shown below. Set the jumpers for one of the values shown below. Do not use
SCSI address 7, as it is reserved for the host.
