Chain tension adjustment
WARNING:
Always wear protective gloves when working with the chain.
The correct chain tension is extremely important, and it must be checked both before
starting work and periodically during operation. Take the time to adjust the chain, as this will
increase the performance of the saw and extend its service life.
WARNING:
5-8 cuttings. Over time, the interval between tensioning increases.
The gear, tire, chain, and crankshaft wear out much faster if the chain is excessively sagging
or too tight. View Fig. 16, which shows the correct tension for the cold chain (A), warm chain
(B) and the chain whose tension you need to adjust (C).
Loosen the nuts securing the tire (protective cover together with the brake flap); turn the
adjusting screw (1) clockwise to tighten the chain. To decrease the chain tension, turn the
adjusting screw (1) counter-clockwise. Make sure that the chain is located on the entire
periphery of the tire. (Fig.17)
