Notes about counts/measurements
Steps may not be counted accurately in the following
z
situations.
„ The handset moves irregularly
y The handset is placed in a bag which bumps
against your leg/hip and moves irregularly
y The handset is hanging from your hip, bag, etc.
„ Your gait is irregular
y Shuffling your feet, or walking irregularly when
wearing sandals, wooden geta, straw zori, etc.
y Walking is disrupted, as when in a crowded place
„ Using the pedometer where there is much up-and-
down movement or vibration
y When alternately standing and sitting
y When playing sports
y When climbing up or down stairs or a steep
incline
y When riding in a vehicle (bike, car, train, bus, etc.)
and there is much up-and-down vibration or
rocking
y When sound is emitted from the earpiece/speaker
y When the handset is vibrating
„ When walking extremely slowly
When placing the handset in a Carry Case 02 (sold
z
separately), attach the Carry Case 02 to your belt.
When placing the handset in a bag or pouch, place in
z
a pocket or compartment where it will be held in
place.
Although steps are counted the first 4 seconds you
z
start walking, they are not immediately used in
measured values. If you continue walking, they are
then combined and used in measured values.
