St a n da r d Ca libr a t ion
The St andard Calibrat ion can be perfor m ed using t he NETira CT Ut ilit y ( see Sect ion 3.3) or using
t he front panel but t ons via t he print er's m enu, see Sect ion 4.5. St andard Calibrat ion provides
dynam ic readings, which can be helpful when using m edia wit h sm all posit ion- crit ical not ches or
m arks. Three calibrat ion sam ples are required:
Em pt y – wit h not hing over t he sensor;
Gap, Not ch, Hole or Mark – wit h m edia liner, a not ch, hole, or a m ark over t he sensor; and,
Paper – wit h t he label ( and liner, if any) over t he sensor.
Calibrat e t he Media Sensor using t he st eps below:
The Sensor Calibrat ion m enu it em is only accessible in t he Advanced Menu m ode.

Press MENU But t on. Mak e sur e
MEDI A SETTI NGS is highlight ed
and press ENTER.

Then using t he DOWN But t on,
scroll t o SENSOR CALI BRATI ON.
Press ENTER t o access SENSOR
CALI BRATI ON. Then using t he

DOWN But t on, scroll t o PERFORM
CALI BRATI ON. Press ENTER again
and t hen press YES t o proceed.

Die- Cut – Rem ove a label or t wo

m edia. Posit ion t he Media Sensor
