Before using for the first time
After the salt reservoir has been filled,
the salt refill indicator may still appear in
the display if the salt concentration has
not yet reached the correct level. In this
case, confirm the message again with
OK.
The salt refill indicator will be switched
off if you have programmed the
dishwasher for a water hardness below
0.9 mmol/l (5 °dH – German scale).

Rinsing agent
Rinsing agent is necessary to ensure
water does not cling to and leave marks
on load items during the drying phase
and it helps items dry faster after they
have been washed.
Rinsing agent is poured into the
container and the amount set is
dispensed automatically.
Fill the container with rinsing
agent for commercial dishwashers
only. Do not fill it with washing-up
liquid or detergent.
This would damage the rinsing agent
container.
Suitable products are available from
Miele Professional.
Alternatively, it is possible to use
- Household vinegar with max. 5 %
acid content
or
- Liquid citric acid up to 10 % acid
content
The resulting rinsing and drying quality
will not, however, be as good as when
rinsing agent is used.
Do not use vinegar with a higher
acid content (e.g. vinegar essence
25 % acid).
This would damage the dishwasher.
