Resetting the Communication Between the Remote Transmitter and the Motor
This procedure describes the actions needed to reset the communication between the Motor and the primary
Remote Transmitter used to control your Motorized EasyShade®. This procedure also overwrites the UP and
DOWN positions with new positions and sets proper direction of Motor rotation.
Note: To ONLY change the UP and DOWN preset positions, follow the basic procedure in Appendix A.
Please set your Remote Transmitter to Channel 1, which is the first light on the left. Press the Channel Selector
button on the Remote Transmitter to change the Channel.
WARNING: ALL STEPS MUST BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY AND COMPLETELY
PREPARE MOTOR
Front View
1. Read these instructions FIRST, completely and thoroughly.
2. Press and Hold the my button; the red light should blink for at least 5 seconds.
3. Disconnect Power for 2 full seconds.
UP
4. Connect Power for 10 full seconds.
5. Disconnect Power for 2 full seconds.

6. Connect Power. Your EasyShade should move, then stop.
7. Press and hold the Programming button for ten seconds, watching for two separate jogs back
DOWN
and forth, several seconds apart.
A single jog is defined as a quick two-direction movement of the motor.
The first jog establishes this Remote as the Primary Remote Transmitter.
Channel
The second jog clears the UP and DOWN settings from the motor's memory.
Selector
SET PROPER DIRECTION OF MOTOR ROTATION
8. Press and Hold the UP and DOWN buttons together until your EasyShade jogs.
9. Press the DOWN button to check the direction of the motor.
The DOWN button should cause the fabric to roll out of the housing, closest to the house.
10. If the direction is incorrect, change direction by Holding the my button until the motor jogs.
Rear View
SET THE UP AND DOWN POSITIONS
11. Move the EasyShade to the desired UP position.
12. Press and Hold the my and DOWN buttons together, then release them when the EasyShade
begins to move. Be ready to stop it at the DOWN setting.
13. Press the my button to stop the EasyShade at the desired DOWN setting.
14. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to make adjustments to the desired DOWN position.
15. Press and Hold the my and UP buttons together; then release them when the EasyShade
begins to move. The EasyShade stops at the UP position you just set in step 11.
FINALIZE PROGRAMMING OF THE MOTOR
Programming
16. Press and Hold the my button, wait for jog. The EasyShade UP and DOWN positions are set.
17. Press and Hold the Programming button, wait for jog.
18. Process complete. Test the EasyShade UP and DOWN settings.
To ADD an additional Control Device (second Remote, All Weather Remote or Wireless Switch).
• Press the Programming button on the back of the Transmitter that was supplied with the EasyShade
until the motor "jogs."
• On the additional Control Device, press the Programming button until the motor "jogs," then release.
To DELETE a Control Device, repeat the two steps listed above and the additional Control Device is removed.
