OASIS Awning Fabric Replacement Instructions
Tools Needed: Phillips Screwdriver, Small Flat Blade Screwdriver, Scissors, Hammer, Measuring Tape,
Sawhorses or chairs.
Parts Supplied: Replacement Fabric, (4) Plastic safety sleeves, (4) Plastic Front Bar Inserts.
CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE THE REPLACEMENT FABRIC FROM THE PROTECTIVE PLASTIC SLEEVE
UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO. THE FABRIC HAS BEEN PRE-ROLLED TO FACILITATE PROPER ALIGNMENT AND
INSTALLATION INTO THE FRONT BARS AND ROLLER BAR.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY!!
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS ENTIRELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS PROCEDURE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT LEFT AND RIGHT REFERENCES ARE AS YOU FACE THE GEAR ASSEMBLY OR MOTOR.
1. Make sure that the awning is completely closed, and remove the crank wand from the gear
assembly. Note: For motorized models unplug the power cord from your electrical outlet.
2. Position two saw horses or chairs approximately eight (8) feet apart.
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE SHOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED BY FOUR PEOPLE.
3. One person should be positioned at each leg assembly to prevent the awning from sliding as the
unit is carefully tipped over. See Figure 1 inset for the four (4) person positions.
4. One person should be positioned at each end of the awning assembly, and be able to lift and
support the weight of that end of the awning.
Note: Before you tip the awning over, make sure that the crank loop on the Gear Assembly or the
Override crank loop on the Motorized model will be on the top of the awning.

WARNING: PLEASE HAVE FOUR HELPERS HOLD THE OASIS IN PLACE TO PREVENT INJURY TO PEOPLE AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE OASIS WHILE PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE.   • Page 3 7. Orient the awning assembly on the saw horses or chairs, so that the Square Bar Uprights are resting on the saw horses or chairs. See Figure 1. Note: During the following step, your helpers will need to guide the fabric so that it doesn’t wrap around the roller bar as you unroll the fabric.
  • Page 4 11. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, carefully remove the Plastic Inserts from the Fabric Slot and Valance Slot of both Front Bars. See Figure 5.   • Page 5 Assembly should carefully lift the Awning together and tip the unit until the Awning is upright on the Leg Assemblies. 29. Manual Models: Using the Hand Crank, unroll the OASIS Awning. The Arms will still be bent at the elbow, this is normal as they will never straighten out completely.
