The IFC-1010/2020 communicates with intelligent and addressable
initiating, monitor, and control devices through a LIB Signaling Line
Circuit (SLC). The Loop Interface Boards LIB-200 and LIB-200A each
control an SLC loop.

Isolator modules (M500XJ) permit a string of addressable devices and
modules to be electrically isolated from the remainder of the SLC loop,
allowing critical loop components to function in the event of a short circuit
fault (refer to Figure 56 and Figure 57).
Addressable Monitor Modules (M50xMJ) allow the IFC-1010/2020 to
monitor entire circuits of N.O. contacts, alarm initiating devices, manual
pull stations, four wire smoke detectors, heat detectors, waterflow, and
supervisory devices. In addition, the M502MJ may be used to monitor
conventional two wire smoke detectors. The addressable BGX-101L
pull station provides point annunciation of manual pull stations (refer to
Figure 70 and Figure 71).
Through addressable control modules (M5x0CJ/XPC), the IFC-1010/2020
can selectively activate notification appliance circuits. Form-C output
relays (refer to Figure 64 through Figure 69).
Through the SLC loop, the IFC-1010/2020 communicate with intelligent
ionization (1x51J), photoelectric (2x51J), and thermal (5x51J) detectors
(refer to Figure 72 through Figure 75).
The LIB-200 is a single SLC board. The capacity of each LIB includes
up to 99 intelligent detectors, and an additional combination of up to
99 addressable pull stations, and control and monitor modules.
The IFC-2020 supports up to ten LIB-200 boards, the IFC-1010 supports
up to two boards.
