This model protects a PC with a DB9 serial port.
1. Disconnect the cable from the PC's serial
port.
2. Connect the surge protector to the PC's
serial port.
3. Connect the ground wire to the equipment
chassis.
4. Reconnect the communications cable to the
surge protector.
