1-8. Auto Filter Cleaning Function

This unit is equipped with the plunger solenoid by which cleaning of the electrostatic filter is performed
automatically when the power of this unit is turned off. This function is operated only when the power of
this unit is turned off. Therefore, it is recommended to turn off the power at approximately 100 hours of
operation time.
When the plunger solenoid is defective, dust and dirt are adhered to the electrostatic filter, and the filter
cleaning message is displayed.
When the filter cleaning message is displayed
The auto filter cleaning function has failed or the electrostatic filter may be clogged.
In such case, replace the plunger solenoid or perform the cleaning of the electrostatic filter.
Remedy
1. Turn off the power of this unit.
2. After the power of this unit is turned off, check if you hear the operating sound that is made when the
plunger solenoid taps the electrostatic filter.
. When the operating sound is heard:
. When the operating sound is not heard: The auto filter cleaning function has failed. Replace the

The auto filter cleaning function is operating normally.
When the filter cleaning message does not disappear, the
electrostatic filter is clogged. Perform the cleaning or
replace it.
plunger solenoid in the following procedure. (Refer to
"Replacement of plunger solenoid".) After replacing the
plunger solenoid, if the function does not operate, replace
the C board. (Refer to Section 1-6-5.)
