A position mismatch occurs at power restoration in an absolute
position detection system

• A position mismatch occurs at power restoration in an absolute position detection system.

Possible cause
1.
While the servo amplifier was in power-off
status, an external force rotated the servo
motor at a speed exceeding the maximum
permissible speed at power failure (6000 r/
min). (The acceleration time was 0.2 s or less.)
2.
When the servo motor was rotated at a speed
exceeding 3000 r/min by an external force, the
servo amplifier power was turned on.
Communication with the servo amplifier fails using MR
Configurator2
• Communication with the servo amplifier fails using MR Configurator2. For details, refer to the "HELP" window in MR
Configurator2.
Possible cause
1.
The communication settings are incorrect.
2.
The model being connected differs from the
model set in the model selection.
3.
The driver has been set incorrectly.
4.
They are off-line.
5.
There is a problem with the communication
cable.
6.
The communication cable is not connected.
7.
Power is not being supplied to the servo
amplifier.

Electromagnetic brake went out

• When a servo motor with an electromagnetic brake was used, the brake went out.
Possible cause
1.
The electromagnetic brake has reached the
end of its service life.

Electromagnetic brake cannot be released

• The electromagnetic brake cannot be released.
Possible cause
1.
The wiring is incorrect.
2.
A signal of an output device has not been
output correctly.

1.4 Trouble which does not trigger an alarm/warning
Check/action method
Extend the acceleration time.
Keep the speed under the maximum permissible speed at power failure.
Check if the servo amplifier power was turned on when the servo motor was
rotated at a speed exceeding 3000 r/min by an external force.
Check/action method
Check the communication settings, such as the baud rate and ports.
Check if the model selection has been set correctly.
Refer to "PRECAUTIONS FOR COMMUNICATING WITH THE SERVO
AMPLIFIER" on the "HELP" window in MR Configurator2.
Set them to on-line.
Replace the communication cable.
Connect the communication cable.
Supply the power to the servo amplifier.
Check/action method
Remove the servo motor and all the wiring from the machine, and check if the
servo motor shaft is rotated by an external force. If the motor rotates, the brake
has a failure. Replace the servo motor.
Refer to "Characteristics of electromagnetic brake" in the following manual.
Rotary Servo Motor User's Manual (HG-KNS/HG-SNS)
Check/action method
Check the output signals.
Check if the output device cable is wired correctly, or check if the load of the
output device is within specifications.
