5.0 Installation and Use
5.25 Crotch Buckle Adjustment
1. If the gap between the buckle and thigh
is not between 1/2" and 1". Th crotch
strap length should be adjusted such that
a gap of 1/2" to 1" is present between
the ears of the buckle, and the top of the
child's thigh, disregarding any clothing or
diaper (Fig. 67a). Your child will grow very
quickly so always check that the buckle is
the proper height whenever placing your
child in the Safety seat.
The crotch strap length is adjusted
as follows:
2. To shorten the buckle webbing length,
thread the anchor bracket through the
slot forward if using position 1 and the
slot reward if using position 2. Ensure the
anchor bracket is completely through the
slot. Pull on webbing from the bottom side
to confirm its safety in place (Fig. 67b).

5.25.1 Belt Shortening Clip

NOTE: Contact Baby Trend® 1-800-
328-7263 to acquire an approved Belt
Shortening Clip.
1. Recline seat to postion 1 (full recline)
to acsess buckle anchor bracket and
remove buckle assembly.
2. Threading And Unthreading The
Shortening Clip: To unthread the Belt
Shortening Clip push the strap from the
side and slide it (Fig. 62a) through the
center opening closest to the buckle (Fig.
62b). Repeat for the other side.
3. Flip over and repeat step 2.
