2.18.1.4 Faults and solutions of running system
Symptom
1. The front tire is worn severely.
2. The front wheels sway.
3. There is large noise.
4. The driving shaft and protective
sleeve are hot.
5. The transfer case has large
noise.

Reason
1. The front wheel rim or web has
severe distortion.
2. The toe-in fails to be adjusted
properly.
3. The steering knuckle and two oil
cylinder pins are worn severely.
4. The tire pressure is insufficient
during transportation.
5. The front driving axle fails to
separate during transportation.
6. The front driving wheel tread is
installed as per inverse direction.
1. The toe-in fails to be adjusted
properly.
2. The bearing has too large
clearance or is worn severely.
3. The steering king pin is worn
severely.
4. The front wheel rim has severe
distortion.
1. The engagement mark of front
main drive gear is bad.
2. The main drive bearing has too
large clearance or is damaged.
3. The differential shaft is worn or
damaged.
4. The planet gear or washer is
damaged.
5. The final drive gear pair fails to
engage properly.
1. The driving shaft has friction due
to severe bend and distortion.
2. The middle support bearing seat
is loose.
1. The speed is too high.
2. The bearing or gear is worn
severely.
Solutions
1. Correct the front wheel rim or
web.
2. Adjust the toe-in.
3. Replace the pin.
4. Check it and charge the tire as
required.
5. Disconnect the front driving axle.
6. Reassemble the tire as required.
1. Adjust the toe-in.
2. Adjust or replace the bearing.
3. Replace the steering king-pin.
4. Correct the front wheel rim.
1. Readjust the engagement mark.
2. Adjust or replace it.
3. Replace the differential shaft.
4. Replace the planet gear or
washer.
5. Adjust the final drive gear.
1. Correct or replace the driving
shaft.
2. Fasten it as required.
1. Apply the low speed gear.
2. Replace or repair it.
