2.12.2 Dismounting and Mounting of the Tyre
Dismounting of the tyre
Special tools shall be used for dismounting the tyre and it is forbidden to use hard tools (like
screwdriver) and sledge hammer to beat the tyre, so as to prevent puncturing the tyre or damaging
the tyre edge and rim section.
When dismounting the tyre, you shall discharge the air at first, and press the tyre edge at two
sides of the tyre casing into the groove of the rim section; then use a crowbar to pry the tyre edge
at one side out of the rim section from the position near the inflating valve; and then use two
crowbars alternately pry the whole tyre edge out. After taking the inner tyre out, use the same
method to pry out the tyre edge at the other side, and take down the tyre casing.
Mounting of the tyre
When mounting the tyre, firstly check whether the rim section and the tyre are matched or not,
and there shall be no burrs and serious deformation at the edge of the rim section; then eliminate
rust on the rim section, check whether there is breakage on the tyre or not. After wiping up each
spare part, coat a thin layer of talcum powder between the inner tyre and the tyre casing during
mounting. Lay the rim section flat, mount the tyre casing and step by foot or pry it into the rim
section by crowbar.
Put the inner tyre in (slightly underlay the tyre casing) and use galvanized wire to fix the
inflating valve in the inflating valve hole of the rim section to prevent slipping. Use a crowbar to pry
one side of the tyre casing into the rim section (it will spend most force at the last section and use
a hand hammer to slightly knock the crowbar). Finally, check whether the position of the inflating
valve is inclined or not and whether the rim edge and the rim section are closely fitted or not. When
inflating, recheck whether the inner tyre is broken or not by prying, inflate and at the same time
knock the tyre casing by the hand hammer, after inflating to the regulated pressure, then discharge
half of the air, so as to make the inner tyre expand normally and eliminate cockle phenomenon.
When mounting the tyre onto the tractor, you shall also pay attention to the direction of the
tyre figure; otherwise, the adhering property and abrasion performance will be influenced, and
mud will be deposited.
Warning:
hub and the hub; otherwise they will fly out and hurt people.
