Joystick Button Considerations
In all of the games provided with THEC64 in Carousel mode, the left and right FIRE
buttons have the same function (JF) so both left and right-handed players can use
either button as FIRE . However, the left and right FIRE buttons ARE independent,
so you can assign one FIRE button to JF and the other to a different function if you
wish in your CJM files.
In addition, for consistency all of the games on the GAMES CAROUSEL start by
TL
or by pressing a FIRE button. If you wish to retain this logic, keep
pressing
in mind how your program starts once it has finished loading when you assign
joystick buttons in the CJM file. If FIRE does not start the program, then assign the
appropriate key press to the TL button.

CJMS FOR MULTIPLE FILES

THEC64 can use a CJM file that applies to all files within a folder. This is particularly
useful if you have multiple files that you wish to apply the exact same settings for.
Create a CJM file in exactly the same way as you would if configuring for an
individual file, and place it in the relevant folder but use the special filename
thec64-default.cjm.
If present, THEC64 uses this CJM file whenever there is no file-specific CJM file
present.
An important point to note is that THEC64 will apply the settings in
thec64-default.cjm file to all programs within the folder in which it is placed,
even if the programs are in sub-folders.
