User Instructions  MSA Sure-Climb System P/N SLCS001 USING THE CABLE SYSTEM 7.1.1 The structure can be climbed normally. • Page 14 User Instructions  MSA Sure-Climb System P/N SLCS001 WARNING • AN UNDER-TENSIONED CABLE WILL VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY RESULTING IN CABLE DAMAGE. OVER-TENSIONING WILL INITIATE BRACKET DEFORMATION AND REDUCE SHOCK ABSORBING ABILITY OF TOP BRACKET (IF APPLICABLE). • CONNECT HARNESS TO FALL ARRESTER ONLY WITH CARABINER SUPPLIED. DO NOT USE LANYARD. A LONGER COUPLING WILL DRASTICALLY INCREASE THE FORCE APPLIED TO THE SYSTEM IN THE EVENT OF A FALL.
  • Page 15 User Instructions  MSA Sure-Climb System P/N SLCS001 WARNING The ladder cable system contains two unique brackets. The bottom bracket is marked with two blue strips and the word “bottom”. The top bracket is marked with an “X” as shown. Failure to use the brackets in their proper location top bracket could result in serious personal injury or death.
