The transformer tappings have to be adapted to the lamps used. If mercury vapour lamps are
used, stage 2 should be reconnected to 210V tapping and stage 1 to 200V tapping.

Adaptation to Local Conditions

Depending on the line length and the ambient conditions, the voltage of the "last lamp"
should be checked and the transformer tappings should be adapted, if necessary. The
system should be operated in the lowest stage and the voltage should be measured at the
last lamp for this purpose. If it is too low for the type of lamp used, a higher transformer
tapping has to be chosen.
Please secure that only personnel, who are accordingly assigned for work
on the Unit, are deployed.
Third parties shall be held away from the Unit, and also be pointed to the
possible dangers.
Work performed to the Unit may only be performed by an expert electronical
technician or by vocationally trained persons under the management and
peer-overview of an expert electronical technician in accordance with
technical electronical regulations.
The power controller used is provided with an undervoltage monitor that is set to 180V by the
manufacturer (see also chapter 8.1.2 „Potentiometer" on page 33). If the lamp voltage falls
below the set value, a change to the next higher stage takes place immediately. This value
should be adapted depending on the type of lamp and the local conditions!
