If someone is trapped, release the but‐

close the side window again.

When closing a side window, body parts could
be trapped in the closing area in the process.
When closing, make sure that no body

parts are in the closing area.
If someone is trapped, release the but‐

ton immediately or press the button in
order to reopen the side window.

when children operate the side windows
Children could become trapped if they oper‐
ate the side windows, particularly when unat‐
tended.
Activate the child safety lock for the

rear side windows.
When leaving the vehicle, always take

the SmartKey with you and lock the
vehicle.
Never leave children unattended in the

vehicle.

If an object blocks a side window during the
automatic closing process, the side window
will open again automatically. The automatic
reversing function is only an aid and is not a
substitute for your attentiveness.

does not work, there is no anti-entrapment
function.

reversing
This means that the reverse function cannot
prevent someone from becoming trapped in
these situations.
During the closing process, make sure
