Teaching-in, configuration, sealing device
Please read this entire section before starting the teach-in
procedure!
To integrate the rain sensor into your HomeMatic system and
enable it to communicate with other HomeMatic devices, you must
teach it in first. You can teach-in the rain sensor directly to other
HomeMatic devices or to the HomeMatic central control unit
6.3.1. Teaching-in to HomeMatic devices
If you would like to teach-in the rain sensor to one or more Home-
Matic devices, you must put the devices to be linked into teach-in
mode and select the required teach-in channel. To do this, proceed
as follows:
• Switch on the power supply of your rain sensor.
• To teach-in the device, press and hold down the configuration but-
ton shortly (<4s). The device LED will flash orange continuously to
indicate that teach-in mode is active.
• The device LED lights up green to indicate that teaching-in has
been successful.
• After teaching-in, seal the device by replacing the housing cover
(LED window to the left!) and use the four screws to screw the
cover back on.
• Please make sure that the neoprene seal is fixed properly around
the housing groove of the cover.
• If no teach-in operations are carried out, teach-in mode will be
exited automatically after 20 seconds. The device LED will stop
flashing.
