Logical Switches
Combination of two switches

With this new function two auxiliary- and/or control
switches can logically be coupled in a "AND"- or
"OR" function. A total of 8 logical switches "L1...L8"
can be programmed.

Possible uses:
• Several functions with normally independant
switching shall be moved to a default position with
the activation of an "emergency switch".
•
The program automatic (Code 49+54) is to be
activated by several switch
es which at the same
time also select
the program.
• Some functions
shall only be activated if a certain
other function is
in use i.e. the wheel brake shall
only work if the
gear is selected down etc.
• Selection of circumstances for the activation of a
switch-ON warning, see Code 21, page 13.
The coupling for the "AND" -or - "OR" function you
choose with the rotary control after pressing the
SEL
-key.
" AND"-function:
The logical switch is only
closed when both individual switches are closed.
" OR"-function:
closed when at least one of the two individual

In the example display above the difference

between the AND - and - OR combinations is clearly
visable in lines 2 and 3.
To be able to use the logical switches, the list of
switches has been extended in the menus were the
swiches can be used:

Note to inverted switches:
With inverted switches is the switch function
reversed i.e. if a certain switch in the : "ON" position
is to activate a mixer function, than will with the
same switch exactly when switched "OFF" cause
the inverted switch to switch-ON. The use for this is
when the same switch has to switch one function on
and another function off and vice versa.
In conjunction with the logical switches very
complex switching possibilities are available. If (as
in the example above) the logical switch L3 is made
up from the logical switches L1 and L2:
L3 is only closed when both L1 and L2 are on.
That means that auxiliary switches 9 and 10 have to
be closed and at the same time either 7 or 8.
