6.2 Connecting the power supply unit

Connect the device to the mains supply (100-240 V ~, 50/60 Hz) at (Section 5.3) using the power
supply unit. Switch the mains power switch ON to supply the radio with power. Switch on the
radio ON as described in Section 7.1. Nordmende appears in the display after establishing a
connection to the mains and switching on of the device.
When not in use, remove the power supply unit from the power outlet.
Remove the power supply unit before a storm.
Remove the plug of the power supply unit if the device is not going to be used for a
prolonged period, e.g. before going away on a long trip.
The internal battery is charged during mains operation.

6.3 Initial set-up

Start Transita 120 IR for the first time having switched it on and then start the set-up assistant.

First select the display language and then YES as soon as Perform now is shown on the
display.
If you select No, the wizard closes and you must perform the required settings manually.
You will be taken through the settings in various steps.

Under Time format, select the desired display format for the time display (Section 10.2).

During the next step you must select via which source the time is to be synchronised
with (for more information refer to Section 10.2).

Then select the current time zone and whether it is currently summer time or winter
time.
Depending on the time and date settings, some of the network settings are now performed.

Ensure that the device is within the reception range of the desired wireless local area
network and that you have the access data. In some cases it may be necessary to
carry out some settings on the router. In this case, please refer to the corresponding
instruction manual.
