Troubleshooting

.
Fault
The heat pump does not switch on.
Compressor unit does not work.
Too high electricity consumption.
© All rights reserved - Galmet Sp. z o.o. Sp. K
Probable cause
Set temperature is reached.
Other heat source is working (solar collector, CH ,
electric heater).
The device is in the wrong operating
mode.
Tank's sensor error.
Compressor idle time.
The device is outside the fixed working
time in the work schedule.
Damaged capacitor or compressor's thermal switch.
Working heater (indicated by a pulsating
heater icon).
Working circulation pump.
Transfer of heat from the water tank to the CH system.
5. Troubleshooting
Solution
Increase the set temperature.
Check if the water is not heated by another heat source: eg CH , solar
collector or an electric heater, which could prevent the heat pump from
staring up.
Change the settings of the additional heat source / configure the settings.
The additional heat source may have a priority of operation (if it is controlled
by the heat pump's controller). By default: CH has a priority; solar collector
has a priority according to the set schedule.
„Installation failure"- this is due to incorrect heat reception from the heat
pump (the water is heated by an electric heater). To remove the error go to
service settings and delete the control temperature alarm (MENU > SERVICE
SETTINGS (code 1111) > DELETE CONTROL TEMPERATURE ALARM). If the
error continues to appear, contact the service.
„Pressure switch failure"- this is due to exceeding of the allowable working
pressures in the system (the water is heated by an electric heater).
Disconnect and then restore the power to the device. If the error continues
to appear, contact the service.
„Tank sensor failure"- this is due to sensor damage. The damaged sensor
must be replaced - contact the service or purchase the sensor in the online
store.
„Tank's sensor failure"- caused by mechanical damage or incorrect sensor installation.
Check connections in the back of the controller. If the sensor is damaged it needs to be
replaced - contact service or buy a new one through the online shop.
If the compressor is idle for a set amount of time, compressor unit is going to turn on.
Change the work schedule settings and check the date and time settings.
If the heat pump is set to operate according to the set work schedule, the
following icon will appear:
Contact the service.
„ECO+" means the heat pump is supported by the electric heater at higher
temperatures. In order to avoid this set the temperature below the ECO-
ECO+ threshold.
„Party" mode
means that all possible sources of heat (including
electric heater) are activated in this mode so that the tank reaches the set
temperature as fast as possible. When the temperature reaches the ECO-
ECO+ threshold the heat pump will turn off and only the electric heater will
continue to operate. To return to normal operating mode, turn off the „Party"
mode (MENU > PARTY MODE > TURN OFF).
„Anti-Legionella" mode
- tank's disinfection process is on. When the
temperature reaches the ECO- ECO+ threshold the heat pump will turn off
and only the electric heater will continue to operate. After the disinfection
process is complete, the heat pump will return to normal operating mode.
Check the circulation pump's settings (if it's controlled by the heat pump's
controller).
Check the CH 's connection to the heat pump's tank. Check valves should be
installed near the spiral coil to prevent heat loss from the tank. If no check
valves are used, the shutoff valves should be closed during the heat pump's
operation.
