Save to EEPROM
Changing the user parameter just stores them in the RAM. To save them from RAM to EEPROM use the save
command.

The write cycles of an EEPROM are limited depending on external conditions. Under unfavorable
conditions the write cycles might be limited to 10,000 only.
3.5.5.1
Changes in Measurement Mode without Save to EEPROM
The switch from single gas to dual gas measurement for the execution LGD Compact CH
done several times a day during a normal operation in the field. Using the Save to EEPROM command after
every change would shorten the lifetime of the sensor module seriously due to the limited writing cycles of the
EEPROM.
The change from single gas to dual gas measurement can be done simply by sending the "Idle" command
following by the "Configure" command (3.5.4) and starting the measurement. The changes will be kept in the
configuration until the next power disruption of the sensor module.
For the execution LGD Compact CH4/C2H6 it is important not to send Save to EEPROM command
when changing the Measurement Mode from single gas to dual gas measurement to avoid a shorter
a lifetime due to limited writing cycles of the EEPROM.
