2-1. General Information for Installation

To avoid shock hazard, be sure to turn the power switch
off, and unplug the appliance from the outlet.
The following boards are available as options.
BDKP-E1002 Audio Input Board
When the BDKP-E1002 (DPR-93 board) is installed on the
APR-25 board, it expands the digital audio input of the
BDX-E1000 from 4-channels to 8-channels.
BDKP-E1003 4:2:2 Profile Upgrade Board
When the BDKP-E1003 (DEC-106 board) is installed on
the ENC-40 board, it can be encoded by 4:2:2P@ML.
BDKP-E1004 Scrambler Board
When the BDKP-E1004 (SCR-4 board) is installed on the
SY-240 board, the bit stream can be scrambled by DVB
common system.
BDKP-E1005 Scrambler Board
When the BDKP-E1005 (SCR-5 board) is installed on the
SY-240 board, the bit stream can be scrambled by DES
system.

Either BDKP-E1004 (SCR-4 board) or BDKP-E1005
(SCR-5 board) can be installed on the SY-240 board.

Installation of Optional Boards
Removal procedure of plug-in board
1. Turn the power off.
2. Unplug the appliance from the outlet.
3. Loosen the locking screw on the front panel using a
flat-blade screwdriver.
4. Pull the locking screw toward you and open the front panel.

5. Remove the four screws, and remove the board retainer.
6. Pull out the board while opening the both board levers
in the direction of the arrow A.

Installation procedure of plug-in board
1. Insert the board into the specified slot along the board
guide rails.
• ENC-40 board : Slot No. 1
• APR-25 board : Slot No. 3
• SY-240 board : Slot No. 4
2. Close the both board levers in the direction of the
arrow B while pushing in the board.
