3-2. Periodic Replacement
To maintain the performance of the BDX-E1000, it is
recommended to replace the following parts periodically.
Fan motor
A fan motor is installed on the rear panel of the BDX-
E1000.
It is recommended to replace the fan motor every 15,000
hours.
If the fan stops, the indicator on the front panel blinks in
red and the indicator D209 on the SY-240 board displays
"00".
In this case, turn the power off immediately and replace the
fan motor.
For the replacement procedures, refer to "1-4-2. Fan Motor
Replacement" in the Maintenance Manual.

Lithium battery
For data backup, a lithium battery is installed on the SY-
240 board of the BDX-E1000.
It is recommended to replace the lithium battery every two
years.
If the lithium battery run down, the indicator D105 on the
SY-240 board lights up. In this case, replace the lithium
battery B101 immediately.
For the replacement procedures, refer to "1-4-3. Lithium
Battery Replacement" in the Maintenance Manual.
