Picture Effects
You can select one of these picture effects to
best record the subject according to the
specific recording situation.
Picture effect
Effect
You can record a fast-moving
SPORT
subject with little blurriness.
You can record without
darkening the subject even if
SUNLIGHT
the background is particularly
bright.
You can accurately record the
red of the setting sun and the
DUSK
surrounding twilight.
You can record a picture with
the brightness adjusted for a
PARTY
subject with a large contrast to
minimize white flaring.
The picture is recorded in
B/W
black-and-white.
The picture is recorded in sepia
colour similar to that of an old
SEPIA
photograph.
The picture is divided up into
MOSAIC
tiles.
The contrast of the subject is
enhanced, creating a unique
SOLARI
artistic image.
The blacks and whites of the
image are reversed and colours
NEGA
of the image are inverted.

Set the camcorder to Tape Recording or
Card Recording mode.

Press the AUTO ON/OFF button to
select Manual mode.

Press the MENU/DISPLAY button until
the menu screen appears.

Turn the SET-PUSH dial (Q) to select
"PICTURE EFF.", and then press the
dial (W) to display the picture effect
selection screen.

Press the SET-PUSH dial to set the
picture effect.

Press the MENU/DISPLAY button to
turn off the menu screen.
• The selected picture effect indicator is
displayed.

To cancel the picture effect
Select "OFF" in step 5 above, and then press
the SET-PUSH dial.
Note:
• Picture effects cannot be selected when Night
Recording or Composite Recording is used or
a still image is displayed.
