Temperature sensor, drain pan defrost heater, fan motor, drain line heater and temperature probe replacement
Before servicing the unit or replacing any components, technician must:
1.
Turn the refrigeration rocker switch to the 0 position. This rocker switch is located on top of the cabinet at the back of the
control box behind the temperature controller. Once the swith is turned to the 0 position, remove the electric power cord
from the outlet. Once repairs are completed, do not forget to re-plug the power cord and return the refrigeration
rocker swith to the 1 position.

Remove screws from top front of venturi & drain pan and pull down
To change a temperature sensor disconnect the sensor wires from the controller and replace the new sensor in the original position.
Use plastic tie to tighten the new temperature sensor.to the hole in the fan shroud Make sure the sensor wires do not touch or are
not close to any heater rods. Replace Permagum at the cabinet top penetration as needed
To change drain pan defrost heater – remove screws from drain pan and pull down – disconect the electrical wires – Unclip the
defective heater from the venturi & drain pan. Use the reverse procedure to install the new drain pan defrost heater
To change drain drain line heter heater – remove screws from drain pan and pull down – disconect the electrical wires – Pull the
defective heater from the Drain line. Use the reverse procedure to install the new drain line heater
To change fan motor – disconnect fan motor leads and screws that attach motor to bracket
NOTICE
Do not replace components with just any random component due to the fact that this is a product that contains
flammable refrigerant. Refer to the part list in this manual for ordering replacement components,
It might be a good practice to stock a small quantity of parts for R290 condensing units (condenser fan motor, capacitors, condenser
fan blade, etc.) for timely manufacturing and field replacements.
