Procedure
1. Prepare the mounting surfaces of the components to be installed and the machine as
follows:
– Carefully remove machining debris, e.g. metal chips, dirt and foreign particles.

Guide both O-rings over the cooling jacket surface of the motor into the grooves provided.
– Avoid problems with mounting and leak tightness.
– Lightly lubricate the O-rings. Pull the O-rings through an oil-soaked rag, for example.
– Do not twist the O-rings.
– Do not use any sharp objects!
– Use tools and materials for correct positioning.
– Use installation tools and materials.
3. Insulate the open power connections.

Debur and round off any interior drill holes (e.g. drill holes for coolant inlet and outlet)
of the machine enclosure.
Do not overstretch the O-rings. Do not stretch the O-rings more than 10%.
Take into account compatibility with the O-ring material (Viton fluoroelastomer).
WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Every movement of the rotor compared with the stator and vice versa induces a voltage
at the stator power connections. Further, short-circuit braking torques arise when
phases are accidentally short-circuited.
• Insulate the open power connections properly.
