H3C S3610&S5510 Series Ethernet Switches
Description
Use the tcp mss command to configure the maximum segment size of TCP packets.
Use the undo tcp mss command to restore the default configuration.
The maximum segment size of TCP packets is 1460 bytes by default.
As the default MTU of the interface is 1500 bytes, and there are link layer cost and IP
packet head, so the recommended TCP MSS is configured as about 1200 bytes.
Note:
Currently S3610&S5510 series Ethernet switches only support the configuration of the
maximum segment size of TCP packets for a Tunnel interface.
Example
# Configure the maximum segment size of TCP packets to 300 bytes on Tunnel
interface 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Tunnel 1
[Sysname-Tunnel1] tcp mss 300

2.1.18 tcp timer fin-timeout

Syntax
tcp timer fin-timeout time-value
undo tcp timer fin-timeout

Parameter
time-value: TCP finwait timer value in seconds, ranging from 76 to 3600.
Description
Use the tcp timer fin-timeout command to configure the TCP finwait timer.
Use the undo tcp timer fin-timeout command to resume the default TCP finwait timer
value.
TCP finwait timer is 675 seconds by default.
Related command: tcp timer syn-timeout and tcp window.
