Connecting disk shelf power cables

Prerequisites
Each disk shelf has two power supplies. Connect each power supply to redundant AC power sources, so the loss of one power
supply does not cause the shelf to power off.
About this task
FS25 shelves have one power cord per power supply for a total of two power cords. DS60 shelves have two power cords per
power supply for a total of four power cords.
Steps
1. Plug the power cords into both power supplies on the disk shelf.
2. If the disk shelf has a retention bail, secure the power cord with the retention bail. The bail prevents the power cord from
pulling out of the connector.
3. For DS60 shelves, connect each power supply to redundant power sources in the rack.
4. Repeat the preceding steps for each shelf in the rack.

Connecting controller power cables and powering on

Prerequisites
Connect the power cables to power on the disk shelves before powering on the controller.
Steps
1. Verify the jumpers at the bottom of each PDU are set correctly. From the back of the rack, Zone B is on the left-hand and
Zone A is on the right-hand side. The following images show the jumpers for each type of power connection
