Troubleshooting table

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if
you can correct the malfunction.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock! The appliance operates with dangerous voltages.
Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can
put your own and future users' lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are al-
lowed to carry out this repair work.
Problem
Wash result is
dissatisfactory/poor .
Too much foam is
created during the
wash cycle .
Laundry is
discoloured .
Laundry has mould
stains .
Detergent residue on
laundry .
Colours of the laundry
have faded .
Wash result is not satisfactory
Possible causes
Not enough detergent used .
Water is too hard .
Too much laundry in the drum .
Water temperature too low .
Stains weren't pre-treated .
Too much detergent used .
Detergent is not suitable for
washing machines .
Laundry was washed at a
temperature that was too hot .
Whites and colours were not
separated .
Damp and/or worn laundry was
left in the washing drum .
Too much detergent used .
Detergent contains bleaching
agent .
Stain remover or similar was
used .

Solutions, tips
Dispense detergent in accordance
with the manufacturer instructions .
Observe water hardness!
Dispense detergent as prescribed
by the manufacturer for the water
hardness .
Only load the maximum intended
amount of washing into the
machine .
Wash laundry at a higher
temperature . Use another wash
cycle, if necessary .
Treat stains with ox-gall soap or
stain remover if necessary .
Next time, use less detergent .
Use detergent suitable for
washing machines .
Observe Chapter "Washing tips"
on page GB-18" .
Bleach laundry carefully if
necessary .
Remove mould stains carefully
before the next wash, preferably
with a special cleaner . Ask for
advice at a chemist's .
Dispense detergent in accordance
with the manufacturer instructions .
Use colour freshener if necessary
(available at chemist's) . In future,
use detergent without bleaching
agent .
