3. Remove the waste tray (labeled B) from the waste tray slot.
WARNING: The waste tray may be hot; handle it carefully.
4. Empty the waste ink. Slightly twist the tray to dislodge the ink. Place the tray in a plastic bag for
storage.
CAUTION: Shipping the printer with the maintenance kit and waste tray installed can damage
the printer.
5. Close the printer doors.
