Quit and Apply buttons
XEROX DOCUPRINT 4850/4890 IPS GUIDE TO CONFIGURING AND MANAGING THE SYSTEM
This section describes some of the buttons that appear on sub-
windows accessed through the main window pull-down menus and
the Input and Output Configuration section.
Add
Saves new input/output configurations and media icons you create,
and displays the Ask for File Name window, where you are prompted
to give the new file a name. On the Create and Edit a Media Icon
windows, adds a new form type to the list.
Add Profile
Saves new DFA personality profiles you create, and displays the Ask
for File Name window, where you are prompted to give the new file a
name.

Apply & Update
Saves changes you make to an input or output configuration file and
puts the changed configuration into effect (followed by confirmation
prompt).
Delete
Erases the file you select from one of the pull-down menus (followed
by a confirmation prompt).
Use the Quit and Apply buttons on the IPS main window and on other
windows throughout the system to apply and cancel your system
settings.
INTRODUCTION TO THE GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE
Quit — Closes the current window but does not undo any
selections or text entry you have made on the screen. However,
your changes are not saved unless you first click Save or
Update.
Apply Now — Puts a new or revised DFA profile into effect for
an input or output configuration.
Apply and Save — Puts a new or revised DFA profile into effect
for an output configuration.
Apply — Puts a new or revised selection, setting, media icon,
or input/output configuration into effect.
