Troubleshooting
Never operate the pump with the warning plate (20)
or the identification plate (40) removed. These plates
protect your fingers from pinching or amputation by
moving parts in the air motor.
Problem
Pump fails to operate
Continuous air exhaust
Erratic pump operation
Pump operates, but output is low on
the up stroke
Pump operates, but output is low on
the down stroke
Pump operates, but output is low on
both strokes
Material drips steadily from weep
port in motor base

NOTE: Check all other possible problems and solutions
before disassembling the pump.
Cause
Low air supply pressure or
restricted air lines
Closed valves
Clogged fluid lines, hoses, valves,
etc.
Damaged air motor
Empty fluid supply container
Worn or damaged air motor gasket,
packing, seal, etc.
Empty fluid supply container
Held open or worn intake valve or
piston packings
Held open or worn piston or pack-
ings
Held open or worn intake valve
Low air supply pressure or
restricted air lines
Closed valves
Empty Fluid supply container
Clogged fluid lines, hoses, valves,
etc.
Packing nut is too tight
Loose packing nut or worn packings
Throat packing nut loose
Throat packing worn
