Operating instructions
1.1
Equipment description
The instantaneous water heater DDLT PinControl heats water as it flows through the device. When a tap
is opened, the heating load starts automatically as soon as the start-up volume has been reached (see
specification). The tap adjusts the water volume and the temperature.
The device offers 4 output stages - 2 are manually selectable, 2 are controlled hydraulically - subject to the
throughput.
1.2
Vital facts in brief
Information regarding the draw-off volume
Small draw-off volume
High draw-off volume
Should the outlet temperature fail to reach the required level (when the tap is fully opened), then more water
flows through the device than can be heated by the internal heater cartridge (output limit 13.5, 18, 21 or
24 kW). In such cases, reduce the water volume (flow rate) at the tap.
1.3
Safety information
There is a risk of scalding at outlet temperatures in excess of 43 °C.
!
Where children or persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities are to be allowed to control
this equipment, ensure that this will only happen under supervision or after appropriate instructions by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
equipment - risk of scalding.
1.4
Important information
If the water supply to the instantaneous water heater has been interrupted, e.g. because of a risk of frost
!
or work on the water system, take the following measures prior to taking the equipment back into use:
1. Remove fuses or trip the appropriate MCBs.
2. Open a tap downstream of the equipment long enough, until all air has been vented from the equipment
and its cold water supply pipe.
3. Replace the fuses or reset the relevant MCBs.

Output selector
Partial load:
At low throughput, 1/3 of the heating load is started; at a higher throughput, 2/3 of the
available heating load is started - suitable, for example, for washing your hands.
 Full load:
At a low throughput, 50% of the heating load is applied; at a higher throughput, the
full heating load is started - suitable, for example, for washing dishes.
high outlet temperature.
