Positioning Logs
1. Unpack and identify the four (4) logs by referring to
Figures 14, 15 and 16.
2. Position back log into "V" log retainers ensuring that
back grate uprights are positioned in log notches.
3. Position front log with front grate bars fitting into log
notches. Log must fit down onto grate bars. (No
gap under log).
4. Position middle log so notches in log fit snugly onto
log retaining bars. NOTE: Pin on left hand side of
grate prevents log from moving forward which would
create flame impingement from the yellow flame
burner.
5. Position log retaining clip parallel with back edge of
middle log. Push pointed end of clip into log and
fasten clip to bar with screw provided. NOTE: This
clip maintains upright position of middle log to
optimize glowing ember front surface. (See clip
location in Figure 14)
When you have completed these steps, compare log
positions with Figure 14. The logs must be positioned
as illustrated.
The top twig may be positioned as shown in either
Figure 15 or Figure 16.
The top twig must be placed in the notches provided
on top of the rear and center logs. The front of the top
twig is to rest of the large knot on the front log.
Caution: Proper location is critical.

Fireplace Screen

The firescreen must be drawn or closed when the
appliance is operating.

Decorative Volcanic Ash

The volcanic ash from the bag provided should be
sprinkled around the base of the logset DO NOT place
any material, including volcanic ash on burner, pilot or
logs.
WARNING: do not place rock wool, lava rock or
any other materials on the burner. Use only
certified material supplied with this fireplace.
Using uncertified materials will void the war-
ranty.

accordance with this diagram or failure to use
only parts specifically approved with this heater
may result in property damage or personal injury.
