9 SWITCH-OFF

TEMPORARY SWITCH-OFF

If a temporary absence is planned (weekend, short trips, etc.) and the outdoor temperature is higher than ZERO,
proceed as follows:
- Push the boiler switch, to select the "0" position.
If the outdoor temperature could drop below ZERO (danger of freezing), the procedure described above MUST
NOT be used.
You must therefore:
- Set the thermostat to the minimum temperature position.
SWITCH-OFF FOR LONG PERIODS
If the boiler is not to be used for long periods, the following operations must be carried out:
- Push the boiler switch, to select the "0" position.
- Shut the water taps in the plumbing system.
Empty the water circuit and pipe coil if there is a danger of freezing (see the boiler manual).

MAINTENANCE

Before doing any maintenance
disconnect the electricity supply to the boiler
and the combined generator by switching the
plant's main switch to "off".
Then unscrew the fixing screws (V)
and remove the control panel.
For maintenance of the BV 120 and BV 160
boilers see the instructions given
in the boiler instruction manual.
