Can I use other Wi-Fi hotspots other
than BT FON or BT Openzone?
If you have the wireless key you can connect to
any other wireless hotspot. For some however,
you may need to purchase a voucher. Please
contact the hotspot operator for more details.
Can I use FON hotspots abroad?

Yes – visit
hotspots outside the UK (best viewed on
a PC or laptop). Remember you will need
your Yahoo! Mail username and password
to connect to FON sites outside the UK.
What happens when I run out
of BT Openzone minutes?
You will need to purchase a BT Openzone voucher
until your next month's allowance starts. Vouchers

I'm in a BT FON or BT Openzone
hotspot and the BT Broadband Talk
sound quality is poor. Why is this?
In some cases when a public Wi-Fi hotspot has a
very high number of users the Wi-Fi call will be of
a lower quality than a fixed line call. If this happens
switch to GSM as your preferred voice network. Do
this by either changing the Broadband Talk status
from Selected to Available or turn Wi-Fi off.

Why does my battery seem to run
out faster when I use Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi uses more power so you can switch Wi-Fi off

Will my charges for BT Total Broadband
Anywhere appear on one bill ?
No. The majority of customers will receive two
bills, a Broadband bill and a Mobile bill. The
Broadband bill will show your monthly charge
for BT Total Broadband Anywhere. Your mobile
charges will appear on your Mobile bill and will
include any additional bundles you have chosen
and any secondary handset subscriptions.

Can I connect my phone to
other people's hubs?
Yes, as long as the hub is compatible and you
are given the wireless key (if there is one).
