Getting Started 25 1.2 Installing the SIM Card, Battery, and Storage Card You need to remove the back cover before you can install the SIM card, battery, and storage card. Also, make sure to always turn off the power before installing or replacing the SIM card and battery.

Locate the SIM card slot and then open the SIM card slot lock by pushing it up towards the battery compartment. To open the Phone screen, press TALK/SEND or enter the phone number by pressing the keys on the keypad. Note Most SIM cards are preset with a PIN (personal identification number) that is provided by your wireless service provider.
