8 Maintenance

8.1 Service work

The heat pump operates essentially maintenance-
free. It must, however, be ensured that:
• In brine systems, heat source circuit should
be bled to remove any air, and the quality
of the brine mixture should be regularly
tested (pH-value and freeze protection reli-
ability).).
• In ground water systems, the filter should
be regularly monitored and cleaned
• if cleaning of the PHE is required, only clean-
ing agents on a phosphoric acid basis Formic
or citric acid based agents can also be used
The concentration should not exceed 8-
10%. Hydrochloric acid based agents are not
permitted.
NOTE:
On request, OCHSNER can offer a maintenance
contract. If required, please contact our customer
service department. It is possible to extend your
factory guarantee in conjunction with an
OCHSNER service contract.
In order to prevent additional costs, it is recom-
mended to have the heat pump serviced at least
once per year. Legal regulations require that heat-
ing appliances be checked and serviced regularly
by the user. OCHSNER can, if desired, offer a ser-
vice contract in order to carry out any necessary
leakage tests and checking of safety equipment of
the heat pump. If required, please contact our cus-
tomer service department. which will test the
functionability, efficiency and safety functions of
the machine as well as checking the control and
regulation equipment. Your advantages of servic-
ing: Correct servicing not only helps to save en-
ergy,

it also protects the environment. Furthermore,
the correct care of the heating system is a neces-
sary prerequisite in order to safeguard the opera-
tional life of the heat pump for many years. This
gives the system user increased protection against
malfunctioning and ensures guarantee claims. A
service contract provides continuity. In order to
ensure that the inspection and care of the heat
pump takes place at regular intervals, a service
contract is recommended. A fully filled out proto-
col documents the working results and the ma-
chine's condition.
The water pressure in the heating system is to be
monitored by the system operator and adjusted if
the the pressure is too high or too low.
The flow rates in the heating system are to be
monitored with the flow meters specified by
OCHSNER.
Furthermore, the specified system service inter-
vals as well as the system checks must be adhered
to.
If, during larger reconstruction work or after burst
piping the majority of the water in the heating sys-
tem has to be drained off and refilled, this must be
carried out in the presence of the OCHSNER works
customer service / OCHSNER authorised partner
(see enclosed testing logbook).
If exceptional refilling work is to be carried out
(e.g. reconstruction work or after burst piping), a
current water test report is to be made and, if nec-
essary, using this report, additives must be used
when refilling the heating system.
