4.5 Continuity Test Function
With this function you can check circuitry, cables or components for continuity.
Important Notice!
Do not perform continuity tests on voltage-carrying components or circuitry.
Procedure
1.
Set the rotary function switch (3) to the position "
Display the correct measuring inputs are indicated as filled symbols
(20).
2.
Connect the red probe to the V/Ω/
to the COM input (10).
3.
Make sure the component or circuit to be measured is voltage-free.
4.
Connect the probes to the component or circuitry you intend the
measure.
5.
If the resistance is under 50 Ω a signal sound, which indicates the
component or circuitry is continuous, can be heard and the measured
resistance value is displayed. This indicates that the component is
continuous.
