Procedure
1.
Set the rotary function switch (3) to the position "Ω" (200M, 20M, 2M,
20k, 2k, 200). In the Display the correct measuring inputs are indi-
cated as filled symbols (20).
2.
Connect the red measuring probe to the V/Ω/
black probe to the COM input (10).
3.
Now connect the measuring probes to the resistor to be measured.
4.
According to the setting of the rotary function switch, the display
shows the value in MΩ, kΩ or Ω. When shifting through the ranges,
the decimal point shifts in the display corresponding to the corre-
sponding range.
Hints
• When measuring small resistances (200 Ω range) the accuracy of the
measurement can be adversely influenced by the inherent resistance of
the measurement cables.
To determine the inherent resistance of the cables is shortening them out
by connecting the probes. The displayed resistance value is the inherent
resistance of the cables, which must be deducted from the measured
result to achieve a correct final result.
• Ensure good contact between the probes and the testes object during the
resistance test. Dirt or other forms of contamination on the test probes or
leads of the resistor may result in incorrect readings.
If the measuring range is exceeded the display will show the overload
symbol "1". In this case set the rotary function switch (3) to the next highest
measuring range.
