2.2 Proper use Each Lutz eccentric screw drum pump of series B70V-H SanitaryPlus comprises a universal, a 3-phase or a compressed air motor and a pump tube. The flow rate and delivery head depend on the selected pump size. This means that the most appropriate pump can be chosen for each individual application. The pump is specifically designed for the transfer of liquids in the food and beverage industry. The apparatus is provided for commercial use only.
Only use drum pumps with ATEX approval in explosion hazardous areas. Only use explosion proof drive motors as well. - B70V-H-D SanitaryPlus: The drive motors (electrical or with compressed air drives) must be chosen according to the respective size with a power of up to 2 kW and a maximum speed of 900 rpm.

4. Transport and storage 4.1 Transport Unpacking and check of condition on delivery ► Unpack the pump tube on receipt and check for transport damages. ► Report transport damage to the manufacturer immediately. ► Check that the consignment is complete as ordered. WARNING Danger of injury by falling objects! ► For each transport, the clamping connection has to be checked for strength. Otherwise, the tube may release from the pump tube and fall on people nearby. ►When transporting with lifting equipment, ensure the proper use of the lifting equipment. Observe the operating instructions of the lifting equipment. 4.2 Storage WARNING Danger of injury and intoxication when handling hazardous liquids! ►Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump.
5.1 Installation of B70V-H-D SanitaryPlus 3 Motor is switched off The three-phase drives are connected with the pump by means of a quick fastener. Two stop pins (→ Fig. 2, Item 1) and two locking screws (→ Fig. 2, Item 2) are pre-assembled in the fastening screw threads of the motors. ► Before assembly the jaw-type coupling must be adjusted at the motor and pump side (→ Fig. 2 - Item 3). ► Attach the motor onto the pump tube. The both locking screws here must be in accordance with the large bores at the flange of the pump tube (→ Fig. 2 - Item 4). ► After a turning of the motor at block position (→ Fig. 3 - Item 1) the both locking screws can be tightened (→ Fig. 3 - Item 2). 5.2 Installation of B70V-H-SR SanitaryPlus 3 Motor is switched off ► Attach the pump motor onto the pump tube (→ Fig. 4). The motor must be turned slightly to ensure that the driver engages correctly in the coupling of the pump tube. Connect the motor and the pump tube with the hand wheel (right-hand thread).
5.5 Operating a three-phase motor with attached frequency converter Default setting: "Start" button starts the pump "Stop" button stops the pump button (reverse rotating direction) without function Button I activates mode I: "Pumping" Button II activates mode II: "Emptying" "Reset" button resets the pump in the case of malfunction Speed controller (Potentiometer) for manual speed adjustment...
6. Operation 3 All connections and fittings are properly tightened. WARNING If connections are not properly or not at all tightened: - it can come to splashing medium. - it can come to flying parts. - the pump may start to move uncoordinatedly. WARNING Danger of injury and intoxication when handling hazardous liquids! ►Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump.
6.5 Taking out of operation WARNING Danger of injury and intoxication when handling hazardous liquids! ► Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump. ► Collect any residual liquid issuing from the pump safely and dispose of it in an environmentally friendly fashion. NOTICE Damage to property with horizontal storage of a pump tube wetted with fluid! ► Remove the pump tube from the container carefully and allow the remaining liquid to flow back into the container. ►The pump must be flushed and cleaned with an appropriate detergent after pumping process. 7. Manual cleaning The pump tube is designed for a manual cleaning. ► The pump must be cleaned after each operation.
(on the side of the circumference) during cleaning. 7.2 Dismantling of the shaft For a particularly intensive cleaning, the drive shaft can be detached from the bearing unit. 7.2.1 Version with flexible shaft ► Put the pump tube into the disassemby position B70V-H-D SanitaryPlus: ► Turn the B70V-H-D upside down for the disassembly of the flexible shaft (→ Fig. 13, Item 1). For pumps in long special lengths, release the 4 cylinder head screws and pull the flange off the bearing unit (→ Fig. 14). Place the pump tube horizontally on the table (→ Fig. 15). B70V-H-SR SanitaryPlus: ► Slide the retaining ring out of the hand wheel with a screwdriver (→ Fig. 16) and remove the hand wheel...
CAUTION The flexible shaft may jump out! Due to the spring of the mechanical seal, this connection is under bias. Make sure that nobody can be injured by jumping out of the flexible shaft. b) Now pull the flexible shaft out of the bearing unit (→ Fig. 20). c) The mechanical seal can now also be easily pulled off (→ Fig. 21). d) Inspect the mechanical seal for damage and contamination. 7.3 Reassembly a) Again insert the stator into the suction opening.

l) Now again push the outer tube over the flexible shaft. ► The pump outlet can be mounted in four different positions (each offset by 90°) to the bearing unit. ► Make sure that the square of the anti-twist device is correctly positioned. ► If the flange of the outer tube and the flange of the bearing unit are flush with each other, the square is correctly mounted in one of the four possible positions. m) Now close the locking clip again. Tighten them with hand force. A firm connection is required as pressure builds up in the pipe during operation. WARNING If connections are not properly or not at all tightened: - it can come to splashing medium. - it can come to flying parts.
8.1 Lubrication No parts of the Lutz eccentric screw pump need to be lubricated at short intervals. For assembly works and lubricant addition of the lip seals in the bearing unit a foodstuff compatible lubricant must be used. We recommend type PARALIQ GTE 703.
WARNING Danger of poisoning and environmental damage from liquid or oil! ► Always wear protective equipment when working on the pump. ► Before disposing of the pump: - Leaking liquid and oil must be contained and separately disposed according to the locally applicable regulations. - Residues of liquid in the pump must be neutralized. ► Remove the non-metallic parts and dispose them according to the locally applicable regulations. ► Dispose of the pump according to the locally applicable regulations. 11. Traceability Products for potentially explosive atmospheres are identified by an individual serial number. Lutz Pumpen ensures the traceability of this device up to the initial point of delivery according to ATEX Directive. All persons who redeliver the device are obliged to guarantee its traceability to enable subsequent recall actions.
