7. BELT REPLACEMENT AND BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT

If the belt is to be replaced or if the belt tension needs to be adjusted, proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the machine.
2. Push down the cutting arm, pull and turn the locking knob (A) Fig.16 so as to put the saw in the transport position.
3. To release belt tension, loosen the six Philips head screws (A) Fig.27 inside the belt casing to move the motor position. Then
loosen the headless screw (A) Fig.28 to release the belt tension.

10. Put back the outer flange of the spindle.
11. Press the blade stop button, insert the blade screw and
tighten it with the key supplied by turning it anticlockwise.
12. Put back the plate and the lower blade guard from step 2.
Insert and tighten the screws (B) Fig.23.
IMPORTANT !
It is absolutely necessary to use blades with the same
thickness as the original blade so that the outer flange is
perfectly maintained on the machine spindle during reas-
sembly.
